Royal Pets ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Royal Pets web application at royal.vizzoai.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you access or use our service. By using Royal Pets, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Pet photo — the photograph you upload of your dog or cat. It is sent to OpenAI as the reference for painting your portrait and stored via Vercel Blob storage.
• Commission details — the name you give your pet, whether it is a dog or a cat, and the tier and style you choose.
• Email address — the address you enter at checkout. Stripe passes it to us so we can link the commission to you, deliver your portrait, and answer support requests.
• Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details on our servers. Stripe may collect billing address and payment method information.
• Generated portraits — the portrait images painted for you, stored via Vercel Blob storage with publicly accessible URLs.
• IP address and user agent — automatically collected in server logs, and stored alongside your session if you sign in, for security and authentication purposes.
• Device and browser information — collected anonymously by Vercel Analytics to help us understand usage patterns and improve the service.

We use the following cookies:

• Session cookies — HttpOnly cookies managed by our authentication system to maintain your signed-in session, if you sign in. These are essential for the service to function.
• Analytics — Vercel Analytics collects anonymous, aggregated usage data (page views, device type, browser). No personally identifiable information is collected by analytics.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

• To paint your pet's portrait by sending your photo and commission details to OpenAI's image generation APIs.
• To process payments through Stripe.
• To store and deliver your portrait via Vercel Blob storage.
• To repaint your portrait if the first one does not resemble your pet, which is why we keep your photo after delivery.
• To authenticate you via email one-time password (OTP), if you sign in.
• To communicate with you about your commission, purchases, or service updates via email.
• To maintain security, prevent fraud, and monitor for abuse using IP address and user agent data.
• To analyze anonymous usage patterns and improve the service via Vercel Analytics.

Your photographs and portraits are never used to train artificial intelligence models, and we never sell them.

We rely on the following third-party services to operate Royal Pets. Each service receives only the data necessary to perform its function:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe receives your payment and billing information. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI — AI image generation. Your pet photo and commission details are sent to OpenAI to paint your portrait. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — hosting, serverless functions, and blob storage. Your photo and portrait are stored in Vercel Blob with publicly accessible URLs. Vercel Analytics collects anonymous usage data. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
• Neon — database hosting. Your commission records and account data are stored in a Neon-hosted PostgreSQL database. See Neon's Privacy Policy.
• SMTP email provider — used to deliver emails about your commission and one-time password (OTP) emails for authentication. Your email address is shared with our email delivery provider solely for this purpose.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only with the service providers listed above, and only to the extent necessary to operate Royal Pets. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

We retain your information as follows:

• Pet photos — kept after delivery only so that we can repaint your portrait if something goes wrong. Deleted on request.
• Portraits — portrait images stored in Vercel Blob remain available at their URLs so that you can download and share them. Deleted on request.
• Commission and account data — retained for as long as needed to provide support for your commission or while your account is active. Upon deletion, your user record, sessions, and linked accounts are permanently removed from our database.
• Payment records — Stripe retains transaction records in accordance with their own data retention policies and legal obligations.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption).
• Session cookies are HttpOnly and secure, preventing client-side access.
• Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe, which maintains PCI DSS compliance.
• Database connections use SSL encryption.
• Portrait pages live at unguessable addresses; only people you share the link with can view them.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Royal Pets is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data and account.

Royal Pets is hosted and operated in the United States using infrastructure provided by Vercel and Neon. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Royal Pets after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
